The visit was led by Pastor Semilee Tajau (President of the Seventh-day Adventist Sarawak Mission), Pastor Brian Scott Padam (Executive Secretary), Pastor Andrew Ganya (Field Secretary and Ministerial Secretary), and Elder Dave Keith Mina (Sarawak Mission Treasurer).

From 26 to 28 January 2026, officers from the Seventh-day Adventist Sarawak Mission conducted an official visit to Lawas. The purpose of this visit was to prepare for the establishment of a new worship center and to better understand the spiritual, social, and practical needs of the local community. The visit was a time of careful planning, prayer, and shared vision.

The visit was led by Pastor Semilee Tajau, President of the Seventh-day Adventist Sarawak Mission. He was accompanied by Pastor Brian Scott Padam, Executive Secretary, Pastor Andrew Ganya, who serves as both Field Secretary and Ministerial Secretary, and Elder Dave Keith Mina, Treasurer of the Sarawak Mission. Together, these leaders provided guidance, leadership, and direction for the mission work in Lawas.

Other mission officers who joined the visit were Pastor Chan Tin Loi, Youth and Communication Director, and Pastor Joggery Gelu, Family Ministry Director. Their involvement highlighted the mission’s desire to build a worship center that supports young people, strengthens families, and encourages spiritual growth across all age groups.

The team was further supported by Field Pastor Pastor Deshay Rach and Mr. Jacob Tupek. During the visit, the group spent time observing the area, engaging in meaningful discussions, praying together, and exploring practical steps needed for the establishment of the worship center. These activities helped the team gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges in Lawas.

The exact location of the worship center will be officially announced in March by Pastor Semilee Tajau in his role as President of the Seventh-day Adventist Sarawak Mission. This visit marked an important milestone and reflected unity, commitment, and hope as the mission continues its work to serve God and the people of Lawas.
