Batu Kawa Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted the Batu Kitang Community Health Day 2026 at its multipurpose hall from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The programme was organised together by the Office of Dato’ Ir. Lo Khere Chiang and Batu Kawa Seventh-day Adventist Church, in cooperation with Aura Global, Bio Eye, WonderUs and Artook. The programme provided free health screenings for members of the local community.

The health screening offered several services to help participants understand their health conditions and identify possible health risks. These included medical history taking and health risk assessment, physical examinations including body composition analysis using InBody, comprehensive laboratory tests, medical consultations, eye screenings and dental screenings. Through these services, community members had the opportunity to receive basic health assessments and medical advice.

A total of 42 attendees were reported in the programme form, including 14 church members and 29 visitors. One of the main highlights was the church’s willingness to make its multipurpose hall available for a community programme organised together with other parties. This reflected the good relationship between Batu Kawa Seventh-day Adventist Church and YB Loh Khere Chiang, the State Assemblyman for N13 Batu Kitang. YB Loh Khere Chiang has also attended programmes organised by the church on several occasions, showing the positive relationship and trust established between both parties.

The programme was also part of the church’s effort to reach out to the community and increase awareness of healthy living. It aimed to encourage healthy lifestyles among individuals and families while promoting the importance of having healthy families, a healthy church and a healthy community. Church members were encouraged to take an active role in practising healthy living, beginning with their own families and extending to the church and the wider community. The programme also provided an opportunity for the church to connect with visitors and witness to people beyond its congregation through practical service and care.

Overall, Batu Kitang Community Health Day 2026 was a meaningful opportunity for Batu Kawa Seventh-day Adventist Church to serve the local community and strengthen its relationship with local leaders and organisations. The church hopes that community health screening programmes like this can continue and be introduced to more communities throughout Sarawak. Through cooperation and shared efforts, the church hopes to encourage healthier families, healthier communities and healthier citizens across the beloved state of Sarawak.
