The grand culmination of the event took place at Ampungan Church on Sabbath, where the youth again led with passion and commitment to spreading the gospel.
The Voice of Youth initiative is a powerful expression of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s mission to empower its young members as leaders in ministry and service. Rooted in the belief that the youth are not only the church of tomorrow but active leaders today, this program exemplifies Ellen G. White’s inspiring words: “With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Savior might be carried to the whole world!
The Voice of Youth program, held from December 4 to December 7, 2024, was a powerful and inspiring event that showcased the leadership and dedication of young members in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The program was spread across Tarat Sibala, Pasir, and Ampungan Churches, and during this time, the youth took on key roles in the church services, inspiring both the congregation and the wider community
Day 1 and Day 2 of the event were hosted at Tarat Sibala Church, where the youth took charge of the services, demonstrating their enthusiasm and dedication to the mission of Christ. The Vesper Service on Friday evening brought a vibrant close to the week at Pasir Church, as the youth led the congregation in prayer and worship, preparing hearts for the Sabbath day. On Sabbath, the grand culmination of the event took place at Ampungan Church, where the youth again led with passion and commitment to spreading the gospel.
This Sabbath marks a special occasion as the youth take over the church service, showcasing their passion, dedication, and leadership in worship. Through this initiative, the young people of Tarat Sibala, Pasir and Ampungan churches come together under the guidance of Pastor Kenny Lapok to lead the congregation in a meaningful spiritual experience.
The Voice of Youth not only highlights the potential of the younger generation but also serves as a reminder of the Church’s responsibility to mentor and support them. By involving youth in key roles during worship, the Church ensures that they feel valued and equipped to serve the Lord Wholeheartedly. A highlight of this event was the presence of Pastor Chan Tin Loi As the Youth and Communication Director, Pastor Chan brought valuable insights, inspiration, and encouragement to the young participants and the congregation. His presence reinforced the Church’s commitment to equipping and empowering the youth for active ministry.
The Voice of Youth initiative is not only a showcase of youthful energy and leadership but also a call to the entire church to mentor and support the younger generation. As these young leaders take the stage, they remind us of the vibrancy and potential of the Church when all generations work together in service to God.
