From Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Seongok Lee has carried a lifelong dream known as the 111 Mission. His vision is to build 111 churches, 100 mission schools, 10 high schools, and 1 college on a 500-hectare campus, while leading at least 11,100 people to Jesus. By 2025, that dream had already taken shape. Fifty-four churches had been completed, along with 17 mission schools and 4 high schools, and more than 6,190 souls had found hope in Christ through the mission.

Dr. Lee has spent many years serving at Mountain View College in the Philippines, where he influenced students and encouraged future leaders. His heart for mission has also taken him many times to Sarawak, Malaysia, where he has supported local congregations through church-building projects, community service, and the preaching of the gospel. His visits to these places reflect his deep desire to help communities grow both spiritually and practically.

On August 12, 2025, Dr. Lee traveled to Kampung Plaie in Simunjan, together with leaders from the Sarawak Adventist Mission. Joining him were Pr. Semilee Tajau, Eld. Dave Keith Mina, Pr. Andrew Ganya, Pr. Chan Tin Loi, and district pastors Pr. Stephen Kalong and Pr. Jabeni Keli. The purpose of their visit was to explore the possibility of building a new church for the Adventist group in the village. There he met with members, including Chundi Anak Antang, who has been faithfully leading the believers for years. Through the commitment of the members, a piece of land was secured at a low cost with the size of land 36 Meter X 30 Meter , and plans were made for construction to begin in 2026.

During his visit, Dr. Lee shared words of encouragement that deeply touched the congregation. He reminded them, “God will provide as long as we remain faithful to Him. God Himself will make everything happen according to His will.” His message strengthened their faith and gave them renewed courage to press on. Dr. Lee also promised to seek sponsorship from Korea to help make the church a reality.

The purpose of building the Plaie Seventh-day Adventist Church goes beyond providing a place for Sabbath worship. It is envisioned as a center for spiritual growth, fellowship, and service that will benefit not only the congregation but the whole Kampung Plaie community. The church will serve as a blessing, bringing hope, unity, and the love of Christ into the lives of many.

In conclusion, Dr. Lee’s visit to Kampung Plaie was a moment of encouragement and renewed faith for the local believers. With the target of starting construction in 2026, the congregation looks forward to having a permanent place to worship and serve. The Sarawak Adventist Mission and Dr. Lee invite all believers to continue praying for this project, so that the Plaie Church may truly become a beacon of light and a blessing for the community.
