The Voice of Youth Harvest Camp 2025 took place from April 2nd to 6th, 2025, at Kampung Engkeroh, Serian, bringing together 650 young participants for an inspiring and life-changing experience. Centered around the theme of “Harvest,” the camp aimed to encourage youth to stay faithful to God and dedicate themselves to serving others.

The event was enriched by the God’s word share by eight passionate young people from different region in Sarawak: Ms. Raveca, Mr. Ronny Langet, Mr. Glen Jimbai, Ms. Catriana Nicole, Ms. Evyanne, Mr. Nafthalie Poh, Ms. Dennylya Nyawin, and Mr. Kenny Basert. There were another two guest speaker for the Voice of Youth Harvest Camp is Pastor Dr. Abner Dizon (SSD Interfaith Services Director) and Pastor Dr. Petrenio “Ron” Genebago (SSD Youth Director). Each speaker shared valuable insights and practical lessons that resonated deeply with the participants, challenging them to live with purpose and commitment.

Among the distinguished guests who attended the camp were Pastor Petrenio Genebago, SSD Youth Servant; Pastor Abner Dizon, SSD Interfaith Services Director; Sir Farrel Millard Gara, MAUM Youth Director; and Pastor Semilee Tajau, President of Sarawak Mission, Pr. Joggery Gelu, Executive Secretary Sarawak Mission, Eld. Dave Keith Mina, Treasurer Sarawak Mission and Sarawak Mission Departmental Directors. Their presence and words of encouragement were a source of inspiration for all involved.

One of the key moments of the camp was Pastor Ron powerful sermon, where he urged the youth, “Don’t follow the world, but follow God’s Word” making it clear that the direction of their lives should not be shaped by society’s standards, but by the eternal truths found in the Bible. He explained that God’s Word offers a steady compass, one that leads to peace, joy, and fulfillment—things the world can never truly provide.

Pastor Abner Dizon’s message to the participants focused on the importance of staying faithful in their faith to God and strengthen their relationship with God no matter the challenges they may face. He acknowledged that life can be tough and distractions are plenty, but true faithfulness means trusting God through both the good and the difficult times. “Stay faithful in your faith,” he urged, reminding them that being faithful isn’t just about consistency in church or worship, but living out their faith in everyday life.

Pastor Chan Tin Loi also inspired the participants with a reminder: “The harvest is plentiful in the world, and young people are needed to be faithful to God and dedicated in service.” These words served as a reminder of the important role young people play in God’s work and the vast opportunities to make a positive impact.

Sir Farrel Millard Gara (MAUM Youth Director) giving and inspired message to our young people “It is such a huge encouragement to see Adventist Youth taking their role in the Camp with full conviction and dedication. It is beautiful to see the fruits of empowering young people to serve the Lord.” Its really encouraging our young people to be part of God’s Mission to this world.

The camp’s activities weren’t just about sermons and teachings. Participants took part in group activities such as obstacles race in 12 different group led by Pastor Rony Latip (SAK Health Promoter) and there also Bible games trivia, led by Pr. Eric Sanjay Bala, with the Bible games originally from Hope Media. These activities provided a fun and interactive way for the youth to deepen their knowledge of the Bible. Around 100 participants engaged in the Bible games through their phones, making the experience more accessible and dynamic. Meanwhile, another 550 participants joined in the Bible games test in the hall, further encouraging healthy competition and teamwork. These activities not only helped the youth grow spiritually but also fostered a sense of community and unity as they shared in the excitement of learning more about God’s Word together.

The camp wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of various sponsors, including PAH (Penang Adventist Hospital), SSD Interfaith Services Department, SSD Youth Department, and individuals such as Hazel George, Sim Siaw Phing, Ainabella Binti Baharudin, Fu Yung Yung, Bong Siaw Phew, Lim Khing Hong, Jeniffer George, Sharon Grace Philip, Walter Garau Tidan, Teo Fang Yiang, Valarea Marianne, Holistic Engineering, Bahau Enterprise, and Gajot’s Enterprise.

The baptism ceremony was conducted by Pastor Petrenio Genebago and Pastor Chan Tin Loi, marking a powerful moment of commitment and transformation for those who chose to take this step.

The event was made even more special by the support of over 100 dedicated committee members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their commitment was essential in creating an environment that allowed the youth to grow spiritually, build leadership skills, and form lasting connections with one another.
