Adventist Community Services (ACS)

Adventist Community Services (ACS) is a humanitarian relief, individual and community development ministry designed to fulfill the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church by serving communities. ACS aims to develop continuing leadership education, build collaborative partnerships and expand the scope of community services.

Adventist Laymen Services & Industries (ASI)

Adventist-Laymen’s Services & Industries (ASI) is a membership-based organization of Seventh-day Adventist laypeople who are enthusiastic about actively participating in the church’s worldwide mission.  ASI’s philosophy promotes a Christ-centered lifestyle, manifested by a commitment to be in daily partnership with God. ASI members seek to experience God’s love in their own lives and share that love with the people they encounter in their everyday work and activities—hence ASI’s motto, Sharing Christ in the Marketplace.

Children Ministries

The Children’s Ministries Department seeks to develop the faith of children from birth through age fourteen, leading them into a loving, serving relationship with Jesus and a commitment to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Resources are produced regularly to nurture the spiritual growth of children, and ongoing leadership training is conducted to equip children’s leaders and teachers to minister effectively to children.

Communication

Communication department is a ministry that has amazing potential for sharing the message of the Seventh-day Adventist church.  This department is responsible for sharing news with church members; keeping them up to date with what is going on at the Mission level, the community; keeping the community up to date with what is going on within the church and the global communication network of the Seventh-day Adventist church; sharing what is going on at the Mission level with the global church.

Education

It has always been God’s purpose for education to occur in a climate consistent with His character.  He initiated the first school in the Garden of Eden for His children to explore the wonders of the work in which they lived.  In Peninsular Malaysia Mission, with the absence of Seventh-day Adventist school system, the Education department tries where possible to advocate the restoration in each person the image of the Creator in whatever creative means possible; i.e. book reading plan.

Family Ministries

Family ministry is a ministry, an act of serving.  It is a opportunity to effect the healing within our families first, then the families of the church, and finally all families with whom our church body comes in contact with.  This ministry gives us a opportunity to witness what changes have happened in our lives with regards to our relationships.

Health Ministries

This important ministry can make an impact in both our church and community.  God has placed Seventh-day Adventists at the crossroads of interest in many nations through their record of good health.  Since the early days the church, have been involved in teaching people to live healthier lives.  Adventists activists are needed to take a stand for wellness, fitness and purity because millions of lives depend on it.

Ministerial Association

The Ministerial Association serves pastors, pastors’ families, local church elders/company leaders, and Ministerial Association Secretaries. There are seven entities in the Ministerial Association which are as follows: Continuing Education, Elder’s Training, Evangelism and Church Growth, Ministry Magazine, PREACH Program, Resource Center and Shepherdess International.

Public Affairs & Religious Liberty (PARL)

Public Affairs and Religious Liberty supports religious liberty internationally as one of the fundamental principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and as a God-given right. PARL represents the world headquarters of the Church on government issues, has an office at the United Nations, and hosts many diplomatic meetings to reinforce relations between the Church and different countries. A ministry that proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ as the source of religious freedom.

Publishing Ministries

Publishing Department gives leadership to the work of the publishing departments worldwide, Home/Family Health Education Service offices, Adventist Book Centers, literature ministry seminaries, and literature evangelists.

Sabbath School and Personal Ministries

The Sabbath School Ministries Department provides full religious education for church members of all ages, including Sabbath School bible study guides and material for programming on Saturday mornings and other activities during the rest of the week.

 

Personal Ministries is a ministry to reach out to others in the name of Christ, bringing them into fellowship with believers and leading them to eternal life.  Personal Ministry is called to build a noble heritage of personal evangelism that has been successfully modeled by hundreds of men and women throughout history.

Shepherdess International

An entity of the Ministerial Association with the specific responsibility of providing care, support and continuing education for pastoral wives.  It also conducts forum for all its members.

Spirit of Prophecy (SOP)

As stated in the Seventh-day Adventists Beliefs… “One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is prophecy.  This gift is an identifying mark of the remnant church and was manifested in the ministry of Ellen G White.  As the Lord’s messenger, her writings are a continuing and authoritative source of truth which provide for the church comfort, guidance, instruction and correction.  The function of this department is to promote the reading and understanding of the SOP by sourcing for them in the various media.

The ministry of stewardship lies in encouraging believers in the best use of all the resources God has provided, including the management of abilities, times, one’s body and material possessions.

Voice of Prophecy (VOP)

One of the major outreach programs in the Seventh-day Adventist church.  The global mission of the VOP broadcast ministry is to proclaim the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ, leading people to accept Jesus as their personal Savior, calling them to unite with His church, and nurturing them in preparation for His soon return.

The purpose of Women’s Ministries Department is to encourage, equip, promote and challenge Adventist women in their journey as disciples of Jesus and members of His church and to bring women’s perspectives to the issues facing the Church.  It is ministry-driven.

Youth Ministries

Youth ministries enables the gifts of many persons to touch, with the truths of the gospel, the lives of youth in every realm of their being.  It includes work done by professional youth leaders such as a youth pastor as well as volunteer youth leaders.  It includes ministry with parents of youth.
