With the theme “Rooted in Christ, Ready for Mission,” the Quarter 3 Youth Sabbath of Kampung Rayang SDA Church was successfully held on 25 July 2026 at Kampung Rayang SDA Church, Serian. The programme, which took place from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., brought together young people for a meaningful time of worship, praise, prayer, and reflection on God’s Word. The programme provided an opportunity for the youth to strengthen their spiritual lives while also developing their talents, gifts, and leadership skills in church ministry.
In line with the theme “Rooted in Christ, Ready for Mission,” the programme encouraged every young person to build a strong relationship with Christ as the foundation of their lives. By being rooted in God, the youth were reminded to continue growing in faith, living according to His will, and being ready to serve as witnesses for Christ wherever they are. Through active participation in the programme, they were encouraged to take part in the mission of the church and serve God with a willing heart.

The highlight of the programme was the message shared by Shaleen Elvira, the Youth Leader of Kampung Rayang SDA Church, entitled “Abide in Me,” based on John 15:1–17. In her message, she reminded the youth that every believer needs to remain connected with Christ, just as branches remain connected to the vine. Only through a close and continuous relationship with Jesus can believers produce spiritual fruit and live a life that honours God. She also encouraged the youth to remain faithful to God’s Word and fully depend on Him in every area of their lives.

The key verse for the reflection was from John 15:7: “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” This verse reminded the youth that a life rooted in Christ leads to spiritual growth, obedience to God’s will, and confidence in prayer. The participants were encouraged to continue strengthening their relationship with Jesus so that they can become faithful witnesses in their families, church, and communities.

The Quarter 3 Youth Sabbath was a meaningful and blessed experience for everyone who attended. It is hoped that programmes like this will continue to inspire and equip young people to remain rooted in Christ, faithfully serve the church, and be ready to carry out God’s mission. May every youth continue to be guided by the Holy Spirit to become a light and a blessing to others while sharing the love and salvation found in Jesus Christ. To God be all the glory.
