A total of 92 participants from AWM Serian (Zones 4 and 5), together with members of the Siluk Seventh-day Adventist Church, took part in this special gathering.

The Adventist Women’s Ministries (AWM) of the Serian District successfully held the Women Emphasis Day and Serian Women’s Retreat on 27–28 June 2026. The program began with the Women Emphasis Day worship service at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Siluk before continuing with the retreat at Siar Beach Resort. A total of 92 participants from AWM Serian (Zones 4 and 5), together with members of the Siluk Seventh-day Adventist Church, took part in this special gathering, which focused on spiritual growth, worship, fellowship, and strengthening one another in faith.

The event was organized by the Serian Women’s Ministries under the leadership of Madam Matina Kaming. Women Emphasis Day commenced with the Sabbath worship service, followed by a seminar presented by Madam Annenchi Juwap and a sermon delivered by Madam Matina Kaming. Both speakers centered their messages on the theme, “Henani, Here I Am!”, encouraging every participant to respond to God’s calling with faith, obedience, and a willing heart.

Throughout the seminar and worship service, participants were reminded of the importance of developing a closer relationship with God through prayer and daily communion with Him. The messages emphasized that when we draw near to God, we are better able to hear His voice and respond according to His will. The speakers also encouraged everyone to be ready to accept God’s calling at any time, trusting that He will always equip those whom He calls. The theme, “Henani, Here I Am!”, served as a powerful reminder that God desires willing hearts that are prepared to serve Him wherever He leads.

Following the morning program, participants gathered at Siar Beach Resort for the Serian Women’s Retreat. The retreat featured recreational activities and friendly games that created a joyful atmosphere while strengthening friendships and unity among the women from different churches. Beyond the fun and relaxation, these activities provided opportunities for participants to encourage one another, build stronger relationships, and grow together in Christian fellowship.

In conclusion, the Women Emphasis Day and Serian Women’s Retreat were meaningful and spiritually enriching events that brought encouragement and renewal to all who attended. The program helped participants better understand God’s calling and inspired them to answer it with willing and faithful hearts. It also strengthened the bond among the women of the Serian District and reaffirmed their commitment to serve God wholeheartedly. As everyone returned to their respective churches, they carried with them the message of “Henani, Here I Am!”, a commitment to remain available for God’s service and to faithfully follow His leading each day.
