With hearts full of gratitude and praise to God, church members, leaders, and guests gathered on 6 June 2026 to celebrate the Dedication Service of the Batu Pengasah Seventh-day Adventist Church. This meaningful occasion marked a significant milestone in the life of the church and served as a testimony to God’s faithfulness, guidance, and provision throughout the journey of this project. It was a day of thanksgiving and celebration as the church family witnessed the fulfilment of a vision that had been nurtured through prayer, commitment, and unwavering faith.

The dedication service was officiated by Pr. Felixian Felicitas, Field Secretary of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), who also delivered a message of encouragement to the congregation. He was joined by Pr. Nelson Bendah, Executive Secretary of the Malaysia Union Mission (MAUM). The church was also honoured by the presence of Pr. Semilee Tajau, President of Sarawak Mission; Eld. Dave Keith Mina, Treasurer of Sarawak Mission; Pr. Andrew Ganya, Field Secretary of Sarawak Mission; departmental directors, pastors, church members, and invited guests who came together to rejoice and give thanks to God for this memorable occasion.

The construction of the Batu Pengasah Seventh-day Adventist Church began in 2024 and was successfully completed in May 2026. Throughout the building process, the project was closely overseen by Pr. Andrew Ganya, while Pemancha Sarika Muda, the church elder, faithfully provided leadership and support at the local level. Through the dedication, prayers, and cooperation of many individuals, what was once a shared dream has now become a reality. This new church building stands as a reflection of unity, sacrifice, and trust in God’s leading.

The celebration became even more meaningful when one precious soul publicly declared their commitment to Jesus Christ through baptism. This joyful occasion brought great happiness to the church family and served as a powerful reminder that the true mission of the church extends far beyond the completion of a building. While church buildings provide a place for worship and fellowship, the greatest joy is found in witnessing lives transformed through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
In his message, Pr. Felixian Felicitas encouraged the congregation to understand and cherish their identity as Seventh-day Adventists. He shared, “We need to know our identity. Our identity as Seventh-day Adventists should never be overshadowed by the world because it carries the profound truths of the Bible and reveals the true identity of Jesus Christ. Through our lives, we are called to let the world know that Jesus is with us.” His words reminded everyone to remain faithful to God’s calling, uphold the truths of Scripture, and reflect Christ through their daily lives and witness.

In conclusion, the Batu Pengasah Seventh-day Adventist Church expresses its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported this project through prayers, encouragement, generous contributions, and faithful service. The successful completion and dedication of this church stand as a testimony of what God can accomplish through willing hearts united in faith. As this church begins a new chapter of ministry, it is our prayer that it will continue to be a place of worship, hope, and spiritual growth, shining as a beacon of faith and truth within the community. May it lead many people to know Jesus Christ and become a blessing to generations to come. To God be all the glory for His unfailing guidance, abundant provision, and countless blessings throughout this journey.
