The Health Ministries, Sabbath School and Personal Ministries (SSPM), Women’s Ministries, and Children’s Ministries of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sarawak Mission (SAK Mission) successfully organised a Combined Ministries Program at Mukah Centre from 17–18 July 2026. The event brought together members from Mukah Centre, Balingian, and Bintulu Rural, including believers from Sebetong, Mukah Centre, Semanok, Sterus, Setulan, and Sungai Pinang. Throughout the weekend, participants experienced a meaningful time of worship, learning, fellowship, and spiritual renewal as they grew together in faith and service.
The program began on Friday evening with a Vesper service presented by Mdm. Molly Lepi, who shared a message entitled “God’s Loving Correction.” She reminded the congregation that a close relationship with God requires a humble heart that is willing to accept correction. Rather than fearing rebuke, believers were encouraged to receive God’s loving discipline as an opportunity for spiritual growth. On Sabbath morning, Pr. Terry Valten Simon led the Sabbath School and presented the Personal Ministries segment, encouraging every church member to actively participate in sharing the gospel. This was followed by Pr. Ladin Suja Suja, who introduced the Health Ministries and delivered an informative presentation on glucose and insulin, highlighting the importance of maintaining good health as faithful Christian stewards.
The program also featured presentations by Mdm. Molly Lepi, who introduced the Women’s Ministries and Children’s Ministries departments. She emphasised their important role in strengthening families, nurturing children in the faith, and supporting the spiritual growth of the church. During the Divine Service, Pr. Terry Valten Simon delivered a sermon entitled “The Unsung Heroes,” based on the story of the four lepers in 2 Kings 7. He reminded the congregation that God often works through ordinary and overlooked people to accomplish extraordinary things for His kingdom. After the worship service, members enjoyed a joyful potbless fellowship lunch together.
In the afternoon, Pr. Terry Valten Simon introduced the Global Total Member Involvement (GTMI) initiative, encouraging every church member to become actively involved in ministry and mission. A health screening programme followed, conducted by Pr. Ladin Suja Suja, Mrs. Sharon Valten, and Mrs. Ladin, where many participants took part in health checks and received practical health advice. The weekend concluded with a meaningful Closing Sabbath (Sundown Service) at Kaladana Beach, led by Pr. Ladin Suja Suja. Surrounded by God’s beautiful creation, members gathered for worship before sharing a fellowship dinner by the beach, bringing the weekend to a joyful and memorable close.
The Combined Ministries Program served as a reminder of the importance of working together in God’s mission. Through inspiring messages, practical health education, ministry promotion, and warm Christian fellowship, participants were encouraged to continue serving faithfully in their churches and communities. The organisers expressed their appreciation to everyone from Mukah Centre, Balingian, and Bintulu Rural who participated and contributed to the success of the programme.
