Christians from different churches across Sarawak gathered on 16 July 2026 for the Sarawak Day Prayer Service 2026. The event was organized by the Association of Churches in Sarawak (ACS) and hosted by the Methodist Church. With the theme, “Bless Sarawak with Unity & Prayer,” the service brought believers together to pray for God’s blessings, guidance, and protection as Sarawak prepared to celebrate Sarawak Day on 22 July.

Representing the Seventh-day Adventist Mission of Sarawak were Pr. Semilee Tajau, President of Sarawak Mission, and Pr. Brian Scott, Executive Secretary of Sarawak Mission. They joined church leaders from different Christian denominations in praying for the state and its people. Many Seventh-day Adventist members from churches around Kuching also attended the service, showing their support for unity among Christians and their desire to seek God’s blessings for Sarawak.

During the prayer service, special prayers were offered for Sarawak’s leaders, families, communities, education, economy, and future development. Participants also prayed for peace, racial harmony, religious freedom, and unity among the people of Sarawak. They asked God to give wisdom to the state’s leaders and to continue blessing Sarawak as a place where people of different races, cultures, and faiths can live together in peace and respect.

The gathering was also honored by the presence of Datuk Amar Dr. Sim Kui Hian, whose attendance highlighted the importance of Christians coming together in prayer for the well-being of the state. His presence added to the significance of the event and reflected the shared hope for a peaceful and united Sarawak.

The Sarawak Day Prayer Service reminded everyone that prayer is an important part of building a strong, peaceful, and united community. It also showed the importance of Christians standing together in faith and supporting one another. Through prayer, believers were encouraged to continue trusting God to lead and bless Sarawak in the years ahead.
In conclusion, the Sarawak Day Prayer Service 2026 was a meaningful evening of worship and prayer that brought Christians together with one purpose, to seek God’s guidance and blessings for Sarawak. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is thankful for the opportunity to join fellow believers in praying for the state. May God continue to bless Sarawak with peace, unity, wisdom, and hope for generations to come.
