A special worship service was held on 7 July 2026 at the Plaie Seventh-day Adventist Church with the Fly & Build Team from Australia. The service was a joyful time of worship and thanksgiving as church members, leaders, and guests came together to celebrate God’s faithfulness and the progress of the Plaie Seventh-day Adventist Church building project. The gathering also reminded everyone of the importance of working together in God’s mission.

The congregation was blessed by the sermon shared by Pr. Calvin Townend, Leader of the Fly & Build Team. In his message, he reminded everyone that, “The purpose of the church is to prepare ourselves and the people around us for the Second Coming of Jesus.” He encouraged the congregation to remember that the church is more than just a building. It is a place where people worship God, grow in their faith, and prepare themselves and others for the soon return of Jesus Christ.

The worship service was honored by the presence of Pr. Semilee Tajau, President of Sarawak Mission; Pr. Brian Scott Padam, Executive Secretary of Sarawak Mission; Pr. Andrew Ganya, Church Building Coordinator of Sarawak Mission; district pastors, department directors, and church members from Kedumpai, Plaie, and nearby churches. Their presence reflected the unity and dedicated support for the church and its mission.

Special appreciation was also given to Pr. Calvin Townend, Ron and his family, and the entire Fly & Build volunteer team from Australia for their dedication and willingness to help build God’s house. Their service, hard work, and commitment have been a great blessing to the Plaie church and the local community. Their partnership shows how believers from different countries can work together to support God’s mission.

In conclusion, the special worship service was a meaningful reminder of God’s love, faithfulness, and guidance throughout the church building project. As the Bible says in Psalm 127:1, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” May God continue to bless everyone involved in this ministry and may the Plaie Seventh-day Adventist Church become a place where many people come to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and prepare for His soon return.
