On 28 February 2026, an Education Seminar on Integrated Faith in Learning was held at the Association of Churches in Sarawak (ACS), Samling Hall in Kuching, Sarawak. This full-day event was jointly organized by the Sarawak Seventh-day Adventist Mission Education Department and the MAUM Education Department. The seminar aimed to help teachers understand how to connect faith with learning in a meaningful and practical way.

The seminar featured seven topics presented by five speakers. Pastor Terry Valten Simon, the Sarawak Mission Education Superintendent, shared about teaching as a ministry in Adventist education. Mr. Alben Rotop, the Sabah Mission Education Superintendent, spoke about how education can lead to real life transformation. Pastor Maclan Matthew from the Peninsular Mission talked about how the church and school can work together as one mission, including ways to disciple students in school.

Mr. Golden Gadoh, the MAUM Education Director, presented a topic about the danger of learning without faith. The seminar was also blessed by a special guest speaker, Dr. Naltan Lampadan from Asia-Pacific International University. He shared three meaningful topics about the calling of teachers, how to include faith in daily learning, and how to develop students in character, faith, and service.

Around 100 participants attended the seminar. They included teachers and staff from Sunnyhill Kindergarten, Sunnyhill Primary School, Sunnyhill Secondary School, as well as Ayer Manis Kindergarten and Primary School. Throughout the day, participants listened, shared ideas, and learned practical ways to apply faith in their teaching. The seminar helped them see that education is not only about knowledge, but also about building strong character and faith in students.

At the end of the seminar, Mr. Golden Gadoh gave a special commitment message to encourage all participants. Pastor Brian Scott Padam, Executive Secretary of the Seventh-day Adventist Mission Sarawak, led the prayer of dedication.

In conclusion, the seminar was a meaningful and inspiring event for all who attended. It reminded every teacher that education is not just about teaching lessons, but about shaping lives. With renewed hearts and a clearer purpose, the participants returned to their schools ready to teach with faith, serve with love, and guide their students closer to God.
