Around 200 participants joined the Pathfinder Day Celebration which was held at the Bintulu Seventh-day Adventist Church.
On October 18, 2025, the Northern Pathfinder Day Celebration was held at the Bintulu Seventh-day Adventist Church. The event brought together Pathfinders, Adventurers, and Master Guides from Miri, Taman Tunku, Bintulu, Setulan, Semanok, Arip, and Tatau. Around 200 participants joined the special day. Everyone came with excitement and joy to celebrate the ministry that helps train and guide young people in faith and service.
The morning program began with club presentations from Setulan, Semanok, Tatau, the Pathfinder Club Sarawak EXCO, and Bintulu. Each club showed their talents, teamwork, and spirit. After that, the investiture ceremony took place, where 60 Adventurers, Pathfinders, and Master Guides in Training were invested. It was a meaningful moment for everyone as they received their honors and badges. The program continued with a sermon and a special charge that reminded everyone to stay faithful and continue serving God through Pathfindering.
In the evening, the participants went out for community outreach to visit five families in Bintulu town. They shared love, kindness, and small gifts to show care and support. Later, they visited Rh. Emi Mesa Long House at Seterus. The Pathfinders spent time with the people there, joining them for the Sundown worship and playing Bible games together. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and sharing God’s joy with others.
The Youth Director, Pr. Chan, shared an inspiring message during the program. He said, “We know the importance of the Pathfinder Ministry in our church where it disciples and nurtures our kids and young people. Now is the time for us to tell and bring others to be part of the Pathfinder family so that they will see the value of Pathfindering in our church. Be a faithful leader when you are invested as a Master Guide.” His words encouraged everyone to continue serving faithfully and to invite others to join the ministry.
Special guests from the EXCO also attended the event, including MG Ratnah Jaulin, MG Willie Rojo, MG Rudae Minuk, MG Felicia Alvin, MG Glen Jimbai, MG Macklin Peter, MG Fiffy Tifaney, and MG Priscilla Nelus. Pastors from the Northern area who joined were MG Deshay Rach, MIT Broddie Sibon, MG Willie Rojo, MIT Petrus Tundor, MIT Albert Numpang, and MG Timothy Sheldon. Their presence made the celebration even more special.
In conclusion, the Northern Pathfinder Day Celebration in Bintulu was a beautiful and meaningful gathering that brought people closer to God and to one another. It reminded everyone of the true purpose of the Pathfinder Ministry—to build strong faith, serve others with love, and train young people to be leaders for Christ. Everyone went home feeling thankful, inspired, and proud to be part of the Pathfinder family.
