The event saw a strong turnout, with around 140 participants from Serian making the journey to Ng Ijit.

From 4th to 6th July 2025, the Adventist Women’s Ministry (AWM) Serian, representing Zone 4 and Zone 5, held an impactful outreach program in the village of Ng Ijit, Julau, Sarawak. This three-day mission aimed to strengthen the local church community through fellowship, spiritual growth, and health awareness while building unity among Women’s Ministry members across regions. The outreach was part of the ongoing commitment of AWM to reach underserved areas with hope and encouragement rooted in faith.

The event saw a strong turnout, with around 140 participants from Serian making the journey to Ng Ijit. They were warmly welcomed by approximately 100 members from Gereja Ng Ijit and Gereja Rh Mary, bringing together nearly 240 attendees in total. Although there were no officially appointed volunteers, everyone present took part actively and served wholeheartedly. The program offered a variety of activities including sermons, seminars, and a health talk, alongside recreational games that brought joy and built camaraderie among attendees.

The program was honored by the presence of Madam Yvonne Jabeng, Director of the Women’s Ministry for the Sarawak Mission, who joined the outreach and delivered words of encouragement and vision for the ministry. Also invited were Pastor Sebon Manding and his wife, as well as Pastor Jwenson, whose contributions through spiritual sharing and guidance deeply inspired the participants. Their involvement elevated the event and affirmed the importance of spiritual leadership in community-building efforts.

One of the most powerful elements of the program was the sharing of God’s Word, which provided comfort, encouragement, and spiritual renewal. The local community responded with great enthusiasm and appreciation, actively participating in every session. Their warm hospitality and eagerness to engage in both spiritual and social aspects of the program reflected their deep hunger for connection and growth in faith.

As the outreach came to a close, there was a renewed sense of purpose among all involved. Plans for future follow-up programs are already being discussed, with hopes to return and continue supporting the spiritual and practical needs of the community. The success of this outreach served as a reminder that when women of faith step forward in unity, empowered by the Holy Spirit and supported by church leadership, they can truly make a lasting impact, spiritually and beyond.
