The Sarawak Cancer Society expressed deep appreciation for the support, acknowledging the value of faith-based collaboration in enhancing community well-being.

On May 20, 2025, the Seventh-day Adventist Mission of Sarawak, through its Stewardship Department led by Pastor Delkenz David, had the privilege of visiting the Sarawak Cancer Society in Kuching. This meaningful outreach was part of the Sarawak Caravan initiative a mission-driven project that brings the love of Christ into communities through acts of service, health awareness, and spiritual encouragement.

The visit was also joined by Pr. Semilee Tajau, President of the Sarawak Mission, and Pr. Andrew Ganya, Director of the Nurturing, Discipleship, and Reclamation (NDR) Department. Their presence underscored the Mission’s strong support for community engagement and holistic ministry, aligning with the Church’s commitment to being an active force for good in society.

During the visit, a donation of RM3,000 collected through the generous contributions of church members participating in the Sarawak Caravan was presented to the Sarawak Cancer Society. These funds were gathered through the generosity of faithful church members who responded to the call to be good stewards of God’s blessings. The donation supports the Society’s important work in providing care and assistance to cancer patients, as well as in promoting early detection and cancer prevention throughout Sarawak.

The Sarawak Cancer Society expressed deep appreciation for the support, acknowledging the value of faith-based collaboration in enhancing community well-being. This encounter reminded all present of the importance of Christian service that goes beyond the pulpit and into the lives of those who are suffering.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church holds a strong emphasis on health ministry, recognizing that physical, mental, and spiritual health are deeply interconnected. Acts of kindness such as this visit exemplify our mission to reflect Christ’s healing love to the world. As followers of Jesus, we are called to be His hands and feet to lift up the weary, support the sick, and bring hope to the hopeless. May the efforts of the Sarawak Caravan inspire us all to continue walking in faith and service, sharing the blessings God has given us to bring healing, joy, and light into the lives of others.
