The participation of 23 choir groups comprising of 655 singers, each delivering powerful and moving musical presentations.

On April 26, 2025, the MBKS Hall in Padungan, Kuching, was filled with joyful praise and heartfelt worship during the highly anticipated Festival of Praise: Harvest 2025. Held under the inspiring theme “To God Be The Glory,” the annual event brought together a diverse gathering of approximately 1,150 attendees. From the churches in Kuching’s rural areas to the Serian district, believers came united in faith and purpose to lift up God’s name through music and fellowship.

The program was led by Pastor Ham Diyon, Music and Health Director of the Sarawak Adventist Mission, who coordinated a vibrant and spiritually enriching lineup. One of the program’s major highlights was the participation of 23 choir groups comprising of 655 singers, each delivering powerful and moving musical presentations. The hall was filled with harmonious voices showered  by melodious music with richly spiritual meaning, as songs of praise echoed the theme and touched hearts.

Throughout the event, the spirit of worship and praise was palpable and blended together. The choirs, representing various Adventist churches and institution from various districts, showcased the strength and unity of the Seventh-day Adventist community in Sarawak. Each group brought its own unique musical style, yet all shared one common goal: to glorify God through heartfelt praise. The collective energy and commitment demonstrated the deep spiritual dedication of everyone involved.

A stirring message was delivered by Pastor Semilee Tajau, President of the Sarawak Mission. In his sermon, he challenged attendees to offer more than just songs, urging them to surrender their lives fully to the Lord. He reminded everyone, “Surrender your life back to the Lord, who is worthy to receive all glory, and praise Him not only with songs, but with renewed songs—each person must build it carefully.” His words served as a spiritual call to personal transformation and ongoing commitment to live a life that always glorifies God.

As the final notes of praise faded, the spirit of unity and joy continued beyond the stage. Guests gathered together for a potluck and fellowship session, where food, laughter, and warm conversations were freely shared. This time of informal connection helped strengthen relationships across church communities and was a fitting end to a day of worship and praise celebration.

The Festival of Praise: Harvest 2025 left a lasting impact on all who attended. It was not just a musical event, but a deeply spiritual experience—a reminder of God’s greatness, the power of united praise, and the importance of living lives that honor Him daily. Truly, to God be the glory.
