About 128 individuals choosing to be baptized and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. This moment of faith and transformation underscored the spiritual impact of IMPACT for Sarawak, emphasizing the commitment of the churches involved to fostering a vibrant community of faith.

On October 12, 2024, the IMPACT for Sarawak event took place at the RTC Hall Ulu Gedong, centered around the theme “Jesus is Coming, Get Involved.” This program brought together churches and community members from across the region, aiming to foster community development, spiritual growth, and unity among local congregations. Each night, at least 200 individuals were involved at every station, demonstrating the strong engagement from the community. On Sabbath, the event welcomed approximately 500 guests, highlighting the widespread interest and participation Participating churches included Gereja Semalatong, Batu Kepit, Isu Baru/Langgir, Isu Semabang, Spaoh, Nyelitak, Tenggang Jaya, Ruan Surik, Ruan Baru, Kepayang, Keniong Lama, Keniong Baru, Temiang, Melanjok, Munggu Ai, Sg. Lingkau, Sangkalan, Kedumpai, Batu Pengansah, Mentu, Sungai Indai, Plai, Gayau Padok, and Munggu Lalang. Each church played a role in supporting the event, showcasing a strong commitment to positive community impact in Sarawak.
The program took place from October 7 to October 12, featuring three speakers representing different churches. Gereja Keniong Lama, Gereja Spaoh, and Gereja Kepayang served as the three central stations during this event. Pr. Delkenz David spoke at Gereja Keniong Lama, Pr. Walter Suni addressed the congregation at Gereja Spaoh, and Pastor Arnelio Gabin was the speaker at Gereja Kepayang. Pastor Semilee Tajau, the President of Mission Sarawak also stated, ‘Our involvement in evangelism will speed up the delivery of the gospel to everyone, especially the people nearby and the community around us; therefore, we should all be involved equally.’ He also emphasized the importance of unity in our efforts, encouraging everyone to participate actively in this mission.
A highlight of the day was the Divine Service, led by Pastor Arnelio Gabin, Vice President of the Nurturing Discipleship and Retention (NDR), Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle (IEL) under the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD). Originally from the Philippines, Sir Arnelio delivered a powerful message that resonated with the congregation, inspiring hope and unity.

The event also marked a significant spiritual milestone, with 128 individuals choosing to be baptized and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. This moment of faith and transformation underscored the spiritual impact of IMPACT for Sarawak, emphasizing the commitment of the churches involved to fostering a vibrant community of faith.
Pastors overseeing the churches in the Simunjan area—Pastor Ladin Suja, Pastor Timmy Hartson, and Pastor Jabeni Keli—played an essential role in organizing and supporting the program. Their leadership, alongside the contributions of the participating churches, helped make the event a success.
Through shared dedication and faith, the IMPACT for Sarawak event served as a reminder of the power of community and the transformative impact of collective support, all under the inspiring theme of “Jesus is Coming, Get Involved.”
