LSW Football helping at Hope House

The Lee’s Summit West Football team is used to talking x’s and o’s and is proficient at picking up big chunks of yards on the football field. But on Saturday players were picking up and running mattresses at Hope House’s two metro shelters.

Previous Community Service Events:

August 27th - Challenger Flag Football
The program will run for six weeks and football will be assisting by being buddies to the participants in this activity


The Community Service team has been working hard to find ways to give back to our community. They have come up with three "themed" events for home games on September 6th, September 27th and October 18th.
Barrels will be located at the admission gates. Please stock up now to help support these worthy causes.


September 6th - "Huddle Up For Harvesters"
We will be collecting canned vegetables, boxed meals, peanut butter, canned soup, hot/cold cereals. For more information on Harvesters go tohttp://www.harvesters.org/

For Harvesters we collected 220 pounds of food which will serve 170 meals.


September 27th - "Line Up for Lee's Summit Social Services"
We will be collecting school supplies, tissue, toilet paper, tuna, gelatins and jelly. For more information, please visit http://www.lssocialservices.com/


October 18th - "Man Up for The Micah Ministry"

YMCA Challenger Program:

Bowling - Coach DZ's running backs will be volunteering with the Challenger program on Mondays starting July 8th - August 12th from 6-7 at Premier Bowl in Raytown.

Lee's Summit West athletes give back to community:

As a way of thanking the community on the school's 10th anniversary, athletes from Lee's Summit West High School took part in a community service project involving special needs kids. - KMBC High School Sports
